Keyboard and Mouse AdaptersMost major motherboard manufacturers have used the PS/2 style connector for quite some time, while a few manufacturers have used the larger 'AT' DIN5 connectors. Another way to tell the difference is to count the number of pins on the keyboard connector. Five pins means it's an AT style DIN5, six pins means it's a PS/2 style mini DIN6.
